The Industrial Design Department focuses on designing all types of mass-produced consumer goods to meet the needs of user groups. The department’s goal is to develop industrial product designers who can propose solutions to problems such as form, usability, ergonomics, production, and more, who can interact with different disciplines in the new product development process, and who can successfully coordinate this process when necessary.

Following a one-year basic art and design education designed to develop three-dimensional thinking and creativity, studio courses in grades 2, 3, and 4, where the design process is taught through hands-on practice, are supplemented with technical knowledge and skills. Students gain theoretical and technical knowledge and skills through the educational process, supported by modern-day equipment and work environments, such as a model-making workshop, a photography studio, and a 3D printer. During project and new product development, students learn every step of the way, from user and market research to concept development, followed by detailed production solutions, leading to the final product.
